Honoring Amy Collinsworth

Dr. Amy Collinsworth passed away this past summer after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Amy was a special person and one that all parents would hope their daughters grow up to be. Amy impacted many people in a positive way. She played high school volleyball at Ft. Wayne Snider and was an all-american her senior year playing for the Munciana Furny's, coached by John Shondell. Amy went on to play at the University of South Carolina.

Tonight (September 29) Amy will be honored on the SEC Network broadcast of the match between South Carolina and LSU at 7PM ET.

Amy earned her undergraduate degree magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina, where she played volleyball on full scholarship. She went on to obtain her PhD in biomedical engineering from Duke University. She worked at Duke in the Office of Licensing and Ventures most of her career.
